Landfill gases and ozone-depleting substances are the first two activity types announced as CCP-eligible by the ICVCM, with specific requirements set on the scale of projects and the methodology version applied.
BeZero Carbon has rated eight projects now eligible for the CCP label, ranging from ‘BBB’ to ‘BB’, all in the Landfill gas sub-sector. Within the two eligible sub-sectors, BeZero has rated a further 31 projects ranging from ‘A’ to ‘D’ that have not yet been included in the ICVCM assessment.
More announcements are expected from the ICVCM over the summer on industrial and landfill gases, followed by forestry, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy.
