Edoardo Nemni is a Data Scientist whose work focuses on computer vision using deep learning with earth observation data for humanitarian and environmental applications.
Before joining BeZero, Edoardo worked on artificial intelligence applications for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response as Data Scientist at the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT), based at CERN. He led the development and deployment of machine learning models applied to satellite imagery for disaster response, including flood analysis, shelter mapping, building footprint identification, and damage assessment. Additionally, he designed operational analysis pipelines to speed up decision-making processes that deliver support in emergency response.
