Daniel Ruth

Daniel Ruth is an environmental scientist whose primary experience is in natural water science, with a particular focus on the monitoring and removal of carbon to ensure optimised drinking water treatment in the pursuit of wholesome public water supply. His PhD research focused on improving the treatment of drinking water in Scotland using novel water quality monitoring methods and data interpretation.

Before joining BeZero, Daniel was a Water Quality Scientist at Scottish Water where he implemented the findings of his PhD research, orchestrating the investment of £1m into next generation monitoring and analytical processes. This project was successfully rolled out across the country allowing for improved water quality during periods of dynamic weather conditions. Daniel also contributed to several national water quality improvement initiatives and served as a technical advisor for environmental projects.
