Raphaëlle Roffo is a Senior Data Scientist with a background in sustainability and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). In her MSc dissertation, she carried out groundwater sampling in Dakar, Senegal and used geostatistical methods to map out risks of faecal contamination of shallow groundwater using a novel fluorescence based real-time technique.
Before joining BeZero, Raphaëlle worked for a range of public and private organisations in Europe and Asia, applying her data science skillset to issues such as the planning and delivery of sustainable infrastructure, flood risk mitigation, or remote sensing detection of methane emissions.
2020, Science of the Total Environment, In-situ fluorescence spectroscopy indicates total bacterial abundance and dissolved organic carbon, Sorensen et al
2020, Scientific reports, Tryptophan-like and humic-like fluorophores are extracellular in groundwater: Implications as real-time faecal indicators, Sorensen et al
