The BeZero Carbon methodology assessment framework
Unlike project level carbon ratings which assess the likelihood that issued credits deliver promised climate outcomes, the BCMA framework evaluates the robustness of carbon credit methodologies, independently examining the rules and requirements set by methodologies to safeguard those claims.
BeZero will only assess a standards body's methodology if it is public to avoid potential conflicts of interest. We believe commenting on private methodologies before their publication would be a conflict, as we would effectively be marking our own homework.
We reserve the right to publish the findings of our methodology assessments on our platform.
