BeZero Carbon signs up to the ICMA Code of Conduct

Statement of Application of ESG Ratings’ Code of Conduct

Having announced its voluntary adoption of the ESG Ratings Code of Conduct from the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and the International Regulatory Strategy Group (IRSG) in March 2024, BeZero is pleased to publish its ‘Statement of Application’ of the Code.

This action further reinforces our position as a strong advocate for robust disclosure practices and increased transparency to ensure development of and evolution of high-functioning carbon markets. Relevant policies, processes and documentation demonstrating BeZero’s adherence to the Code of Conduct may be found on our Governance page.

About the Code of Conduct

In December 2023, an industry-led working group launched a voluntary code of conduct based on recommendations published by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). The Code of Conduct focuses on promoting transparency, good governance, management of conflicts of interest, and robust systems and controls. It is intended to be internationally interoperable and could be used by jurisdictions where no local code or regulation is in place.
