  • BeZero has published a full review of ratings for US-based Improved Forest Management (IFM) projects, alongside five new ratings.

  • Our review resulted in downgrades to eight ratings, driven by increased confidence in our previously stated views of unrealistic harvesting baselines.

  • Newly assigned ratings included an ‘A’, our highest ever ex post rating in US IFM.

  • In our ex ante ratings, we see a next generation of US IFM projects, some with novel approaches to design and implementation. However, considerable variability persists, highlighting the ongoing need for project-based ratings.
