BeZero Carbon Ratings are available on Salesforce’s Net Zero Marketplace

  • BeZero Carbon’s Ratings are now available on Salesforce’s Net Zero Marketplace, providing the platform’s users with carbon credit ratings across a range of project types across the Voluntary Carbon Market.

This means, for the first time, that Net Zero Marketplace users will be able to analyse carbon projects with independent third party assessments from three carbon ratings agencies all in one place.

Net Zero Marketplace is a climate action hub where organisations can find and purchase carbon credits from ecopreneurs. It aims to provide organisations with the information and tools to help identify the carbon projects and carbon credits that best align with their priorities.

Carbon ratings are critical to helping users to assess quality, manage risk and make more informed decisions in the market. The Net Zero Marketplace platform will initially host 22 BeZero Carbon Ratings for projects across Forestry, Soil Carbon, Household Devices, Energy and Waste Handling sectors. These ratings are consistent with all platforms that offer the BeZero Carbon Rating. They come with complete ratings definitions, providing ecopreneurs with a granular view of risk when assessing carbon projects.

The BeZero Carbon Rating gives an independent assessment of the likelihood that a carbon credit will avoid or remove each tonne of carbon that it claims to. It uses an eight-point scale of AAA to D, ranging from highest to lowest likelihood of achieving the carbon avoidance or removal.

It is the most comprehensive and transparent framework for assessing carbon risk, with around 300 ratings covering around half of outstanding credits on the market across all sectors and project types.
