Bethany Cockshutt is a physical geographer whose technical experience is in soil science, forestry and regenerative agriculture.

Prior to joining BeZero, Bethany worked at the Carbon Trust leading footprinting, with a primary focus on land-use change, afforestation, regenerative agriculture, and soil carbon sequestration. She also led assurance services, alongside developing corporate SBTi targets and decarbonisation roadmaps.

Bethany holds an MSc in Climate Change: Environment, Science and Policy from King's College London, with research centered on afforestation and other nature-based solutions,
and her undergraduate dissertation particularly focussed on salt marsh soil organic carbon regeneration and sequestration.
