Bertrand Le Nézet Head of Product for Environmental MarketsWith BeZero integrated on the Bloomberg Terminal, users can now access their structured data and the analytical depth of their ratings. We’re proud to offer Bloomberg Terminal users access to BeZero’s independent carbon ratings to help drive transparency, risk management, and better decision-making across carbon markets.
With growing global demand for climate-aligned investing, companies are focused on ensuring the integrity of their decarbonisation strategies. As carbon markets evolve, buyers, investors, and financial institutions require trusted, independent information to assess the quality of carbon credits and understand the risks they carry. However, much of the information on project quality remains fragmented, technical, or difficult to access at speed.
Bloomberg, a global leader in business and financial data, identified the need to bring greater transparency and analytical rigour to carbon credits markets via its Bloomberg Terminal service. To support the market’s ability to assess risk and price carbon credits more effectively, Bloomberg sought to integrate independent, science-first ratings into its solution—ensuring its users could access credible carbon project data across nature and technology-based mitigation activities.
In 2024, BeZero Carbon became the first carbon ratings provider to be integrated directly into the Bloomberg Terminal.
BeZero’s ratings—underpinned by rigorous risk assessments and transparent, sector-specific methodologies—offer users a simple, comparable way to assess the likelihood that a carbon credit achieves a tonne of CO₂e avoided or removed. Bloomberg integrated BeZero’s ratings after evaluating its technology, data structuring, and analytical approach to assess how it can support Bloomberg Terminal client workflows.
This integration means that Bloomberg Terminal users can access BeZero’s independent ratings to assess credit quality and make risk-informed carbon investment and procurement decisions, all within their existing workflow.

By integrating BeZero Carbon Ratings directly into the Bloomberg Terminal, users across financial services—including asset managers, banks, corporates, and governments—now have streamlined access to robust, expert-led carbon project analysis.
The integration supports better decision-making in carbon procurement, investment, and risk management by providing project-level analysis that goes beyond market standards and integrity labels. It has elevated the transparency of carbon markets by bringing project risk data into the same solution used by clients for global financial data.
