Naema Abubakar

Naema Abubakar is a Carbon Ratings Analyst at BeZero. Her master's research looked at validating the congruity between the output of a Weather Research Forecasting (WRF) model and field data using in situ airborne data/SAR/LiDAR and data from turbine anemometers to assess wake characterisation of off-shore wind farms for turbine placement optimisation.

Before joining BeZero, Naema studied for her master's programme at Imperial College London where she looked at various environmental data sets (flood data/seismology data/SAR and LiDAR), built ML pipelines and models to make forecasting predictions, and DL models for image segmentation/labelling.
